I want to book a treatment but I am not sure which one to choose?

 When you visit for the first time a consultation is always carried out before hand so we can get to know you and your skin better. However, you can always send a email to Hello@skin-wise.com and we will happily help you.

What is involved in the skin consultation?

Our consultations are quite in depth. We will never do a treatment without a consultation first. This allows us to dig deep with your skin concerns, go through your current routine and map out a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am thinking to book a treatment but what can I expect? 

You can expect to be taken good care of, feel very relaxed and leave with happy healthy skin. You will have a little redness after your facial but this is normal and will subside. 

What is the Welcome Treatment?

The Welcome Treatment is for first time clients visiting our clinic. This treatment includes a in depth consultation and introduction skin treatment based on your skin concerns and needs. The treatment is 50 minutes. A prescribed home care plan will be made for you too.

What is involved in each of the different skin treatments?

You can read about all of skin treatments here and they are mostly based on levels. So starting from introduction level to the most advanced and luxurious. 

 

Who is the Radio Frequency Facial for?

Everyone! This facial is the absolute best for all skin rejuvenation no matter your concern. It works by heating up the dermis and stimulating your natural collagen and elastin production. Great for a healthy glow. It is especially good for those concerned with wrinkles and sagging skin on the face and neck. Its fantastic for lifting and sculpting the facial contours. I want to book the Radio Frequency Series but I can't online?

A in-depth consultation must be carried out in clinic first to determine if this treatment is suitable for you and to explain more about it in person. The 6 treatments must be booked ahead of time within the recommended series time frame for best results. Please email Hello@skin-wise.com to make the consultation appointment.

Can you help Acne skin?

Yes. Acne skins can be quite a journey. Mapping out a suitable treatment and home care plan is key.

What brands do you use in the treatment room?

In the treatment room we work with SkinCeuticals and NANNIC. Both of these brands are cosmecutical skincare brands, backed by science. Their formulas and ingredients are very high quality.

I have never had a facial but I would like to start taking care of my skin better and get some more advice please?

Absolutely. A consultation would be the best start and we will take it from there. We will be happy to help guide you.

I want to buy a gift for someone but I don't know what to choose?

You can focus on the time frame or budget you would like to spend and leave the rest to us. We will ensure that they are happy with whatever facial treatment they get. We can post out gift vouchers and hand write a note for them if you like too. Gift vouchers can be bought online from our online shop or pick up in clinic. Can I have a treatment while pregnant?

Absolutely yes! Such a treat for you and help you to relax. There are certain ingredients and devices we don't use during pregnancy and won't focus too much on changes to the skin until after the pregnancy. But for general skin health and over all relaxation they are perfectly fine.

How often should you have a facial?

This is different for everyone. But what I always say to my clients is to remember that we get new skin cells produced every 28 days. This process slows down as we get older. You need to keep that time frame in mind. When you are working on a specific skin concern and want to see results faster - then it is better to come more often and do a series of treatments - this depends on the concern (a consultation will determine this). Some clients come exactly every 4 weeks, others every 6-8 weeks or every few months. It really depends on you, your budget and your skin goal.

The Sana Soy Milk sheet masks are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The Kose Clear Turn Moisturizing Eye Masks and The Kose Clear Turn Hydrating Jelly Eye Masks both contain retinyl palmitate which is  form of vitamin A and all vitamin A products should be avoided during pregnancy.  Please consult with your doctor about these ingredients.

How should I care for my tools?

Wash them with warm water and anti-bacterial soap after each use and dry well. Do not leave your tools fall. Do not leave product build up in them. Charge the Sonic Brush Cleanser as needed- plug the cord into a USB devise (like your computer or iPhone charger)

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes all of our packaging is recyclable and environmentally friendly.

How often can you use the skincare tools?

Massage Roller - You can use the roller daily, 3 times on each side of the face for up to 5 minutes for best results. Keep it by your bed side table or where you easily see it.

Silicone Facial Brush - You can use daily or up to 2-3 times a week. Use with cleansing gel and move around your face and neck without force or pressure, let the sonic devise do the work itself.

Facial cupping set - Use no more than once or twice a week. For 5- 10 minutes. Go 3-5 times on each side of the face. Always follow the lymphatic drainage diagram directions shown in the product description and user manual.

What does RoHS stand for on the Silicone Facial Brush? 

Proof - Restriction of hazardous substances. Originated in the European union. Restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products.

What does IP66 mean on the Silicone Facial Brush?

Water proof and weatherproof.

How do you use the face masks? 

Clean your skin, open the packet, apply the face mask to the skin following the correct holes for eyes, nose and mouth. Leave until they dry up. Roughly about 20-40 minutes. Remove the mask and massage any remains in the packet into the face, neck, chest and hands. The face masks can be used daily. Keep them in the fridge for a extra boost to the skin.

How do you use the Clear Turn Anti-aging Eye Mask?

Open the packet carefully and apply 1 mask under each eye. Seal the packet again very well, if you don't - the essence and important ingredients will dry up very fast and the masks wont be much use to you anymore. Use extra cello-tape or sticker if you must to ensure the packet is closed well after each use. Keep under the eyes for up to 10-15 minutes. This mask contains retinol so it drys up quicker on the skin.

Can you re-use the Facial Sheet Masks?

No. Once opened each mask is a one time use. There is however some essence left over in the packet that you can apply on your face like a serum on the same day.

Can you re-use the Kose Clear Turn Anti-aging Eye Masks?

The Kose Clear Turn anti-aging eye mask contains 32 pairs. 64 pieces. Use one pair at a time and carefully seal the package after each use so that the essence does not dry up. If not sealed carefully your eye masks will dry up.

Can you use a face mask everyday?

Yes you can. Hydration is key for healthy skin. At least try to include a mask in your weekly skin routine. Japanese women sheet mask daily!

Why are the face masks in Japanese and not English?

We get all of our Sheet masks straight from Japan. At this moment we cannot get the packaging translated to English. There is a sticker at the back of the packaging of the sheet masks with a English translation. We have put together a User Manual that comes with every order. All important information is found in the manual and here on our website under each product description.
